Why a Canon F1 I have to ask?

no real strong answer...ran a few brands through my head and in the end all the components i wanted were for sale here on rff.
also, the f1 was my first pro camera...lots of good memories!
also the body has new seals and a recent cla...and been adjusted to work with a modern battery.

I wanted a full frame digital Leica body for my 35 Summilux ASPH....(which to me is absolutely tops). I have been using the 28 Elmarit on the M8 since I went Leica digital, with excellent results, but the Summilux is on another plane. Hopefully I wont have any serious back focus issues with this lens on the full frame body, as it was never a problem with the M8 or preceeding 10 years on film Leicas. I like my D700 very much but I have never found a decent Nikon 35mm lens that even approached the performance of my Summilux. As you can see 35mm on full frame is my favorite combo.
