Coming XF lenses photo

I think its is a very exciting look at whats coming and to see how they look compared to each other, size wise at least.

I was surprised to see the size of the 10-24 compared to the others. It seems smaller than I expected which is great because its next on my buy list.

I was also surprised to see the 10-24 being the only lens with a constant aperture not to have a numbered aperture ring like the other constant aperture lenses, weird.

The 10-24 and 18-135 both do not have number aperture ring which is similar to their other variable f stop zooms. The other two are their first constant f stop zoom lenses. They could have done the multi color fstop marking that Nikon used early in their variable fstop zooms, but probably added enough manufacturing cost, plus I am not sure any does this anymore.

Thanks for posting the image; much appreciated.

I currently have the 18-55, 35, and 60, along with the X-Pro1. With this new line-up, I'm thinking about adding the X-T1 body, the 10-24/4, and the 18-135 (if its weather sealed, which I think it is). Then I'd sell my 18-55.

Before these lenses were announced, I'd been thinking about adding the 14mm, but that seemed just a bit too wide for my tastes. The 10-24 will solve that. And the X-T1 weather-sealing attracts my interests as well. Go Fuji!!

the 10-24 is not small at all, it's the other lenses next to it that are huge and dwarfing it. It's about the same size as a DSLR ultra wide zoom for APSC, like the Nikon or the Tamron 10-24
generally this photo is deceiveing because it starts with the 56 which is already fuji's largest prime and it makes everyhting else look reasonable. These lenses are anything but small.

fuji now has 3 overlapping versions for standard zoom and 3 for tele zoom, I hope they start doing the same for primes. I wouldnt mind a smaller f2 version of the 23, plus the 18 and 35 need an update with step motor AF. And we still have that gap at 135mm equiv.

I would love to have a fixed f2.8 90 (135 fov), 135 (200 fov) and a 16f2.8 (24 fov) myself.

As someone who used to haul around a Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS on a EOS 1V, I can say...no they are not. We are lucky to have such small setups nowadays.

That 56/1.2 looks so compelling.

Might just be my second XF lens, if only I could pair it with an XP2 that could reliably autofocus in low light.
