Hi all,
I am looking at buying a used p&s camera to be used buy my wife and also by me as back up. I have narrowed it down to the above mentioned series and have couple of questions:
1) as I am buying used (so probably out of warranty), is there any difference in build quality between the Leicas and Panasonics?
2) I read somewhere that the Leica version has firmware that adjusts the image so it renders the "Leica look". If this is true can you manually change settings on the Panasonic to do the same job?
3) any other advantages of buying a used Leica over the cheaper Panasonic? I have a budget of around $300 so could probably afford a Panasonic 1 or 2 versions advanced on the Leica.
4) how do the previous couple of versions compare with the current model?
