Hoping this thread doesn't get buried in the M9 soup, but can someone recommend a flash with bounce capability that is nice and compact and will balance well on a compact fixed lens RF like an auto s3?

Thanks.

No I don't think so for a simple film camera.

I think there is also a "dedicated" flash for the S3 which works with the camera's GN system. It might be worth tracking down, but likely no bounce ability.

does it mater that it's trigger voltage is 46V?? (from here http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html )

also, stumbled upon the olympus t32 which sounds pretty good too.

High trigger voltages do not matter with cameras of similar vintage - or indeed, all cameras with mechanical switch trigger.

The T32 is a excellent flash - but not quite the perfect companion for a pocketable camera. With batteries it is close to a pound in weight.

Didn't realise how big the t32 was!

Sunpak 1600 looks much better

Look for a Vivitar 2500. It looks like a miniature 285 complete with a zoom head, has the tilt head feature, will work on a hot shoe or with a PC cord, and uses 2 AA batteries. They also made an ultra-wide angle adapter that slides on the front which covers 28mm with room to spare. It takes the same synch cord as other Vivitar flashes. I have two of them and use them all the time.
