Compact RFs

Yes Peter, Madrid have many faces. The Rastro, The Retiro, the night...

Peter, you continue use the zeiss waist level for your photos?

Its funny when you put the images of the w.level, I imaging you taking photos. :) Great!

Yes David I am still using the Zeiss finder. Funny that you should remember that I have that! :) Currently I am using it on my new M7 & 28mm lens on the subway. I am commuting a lot on the subway in Boston at the moment so I'm trying to take some shots when the cars are really crowded in the downtown area. It is going slowly but I will persist with it. Using Neopan 1600 on the project. :)

Woow the M7 is other world... What 28 you use? The Ultron, color skopar, canon... or leica dead credit bank lens...

I have to develop some new photos of this summer... Made with the Leica and the Canonet...

I love the waist levels. The exakta cameras are nice, rangefinder plus waist level, its the best combo for all the street situations.

Agree that the waist level is excellent. Actually I would like something a bit bigger than the Zeiss but I haven't had time to do any research. One great thing about the Zeiss is that you can turn it at a right angle so you can take vertical pictures from almost knee level. :)

Indeed the M7 is another world, but it hasn't stopped me loving my Canonet! The 28mm is an f2.8 M-Hexanon that I bought from RFF member Rob Spoon (laptoprob) in Holland. I like the lens very much!

And yes, I have "dead credit" as I also bought a 50mm Summilux and a 135mm Tele-Elmar around the same time. So I am finished buying for about a year... :(

And you arent interested in buy an RD-1, because with the money that you spend in all these outstanding lens you can bought the RD-1. Dont you like the digicams yet?
:)

The 28 hexanon its a great lens. The design its similar to the Zeiss widelens philosophy. And I imagine that have a nice performance, little flare, and very solid construction like the custom of the hexanon lens. Congrats, when you put some photos with the Hexanon I be alert. ;)

No David, no interest in an RD-1 or any other digital camera for the forseeable future (although I do have a little digi P&S). I have good film cameras and a film scanner and that's as digital as I want to get! :)

The M-Hexanon is exactly as you say, terrific optically and extremely well built. I'm just learning about it and so far I'm very pleased.
