Meetzoekercamera's - Rangefinders

I'm certainly no RF-expert, I even don't own a RF yet (expecting a Canonet QL17 GIII bought on ebay arriving next week). Nevertheless, I gathered some information on a set of camera's that looked interesting to me, to be able to compare and evaluate prices on ebay.

I guessed this information might be useful for other people as well. The table doesn't only contain technical specs, but also target prices you should keep in mind when bidding on ebay. It's just something I composed in some spare time, so don't expect good looks, and don't hesitate to post updates if you find wrong information (in fact, I think the site should have a massive disclaimer at the bottom)...

Groeten,

Vic

Very nice job, Vic. Thanks for posting it. it makes a very useful "Rosetta Stone" for linguistically impaired Americans who would like to learn German.

Interesting that you're buying a Canonet. That's one for which I'd like to acquire some additional specs, specifically base line length & viewfinder magnification. I tried to measure mine & come up with a base line of roughly 25 mm. I have no idea what the magnification is, although I'd gues that it's about 0.5x +/- 0.1. I can't find this information anywhere. I wonder if anyone else has stumbled across it.

Interesting chart.

OBTW, looks more like Dutch or Flemish than German to me. ...

Vic's site is hosted at pandora.be, which is a Belgian host. I strongly suspect Vic to be Belgian too. 🙂
