Completely Off Topic.....

It just ended as I read your post :bang: BUT my local PBS station reruns their primetime schedule starting at 1 am my time so I'm going to record it!
Thanks for the heads up!

White Room?? the longest ad lib guitar riff in history or was it a drum solo record. Brilliant players individually but to gether I was always puzzled.

how about a Hawkwind concert??

Yeah I got a bit of that too but if you close your eyes or look away from the screen its amazing how good it sounds still.

And if you saw them when they were first out as I did...
Then you are old. 😀

Of course I first heard them when I was 8 months old.......

i caught a bit of it, but it made me feel old!

even clapton looked old in that.

I saw Clapton live during his "Slow Hand" tour and at the time most of my friends didn't want to go cuz "oh man, he's old and probably will suck". They were so amazingly wrong! I've heard some cuts from the reunion shows and them boys can still rock! I couldn't get to either the NYC or London shows so this will have to fill in.
Hope the neighbors are all at work tomorrow so I can crank it! 😀
I won't have the right intoxicant mix to get the full effect but that's OK, I'll actually remember what they play 🙄
And it's not pledge drive season here yet so the begging won't intrude into the show, I hope--haven't got a renewal notice yet.

I saw Clapton in his 461 Ocean Boulevard days. Yeesh, he was awful. He was nasty. It was the 4th of July and people were throwing fireworks at him. Freddie King came on and played 3 songs with him. He really upstaged Clapton that night.

I'm sorry, but listening to Clapton playing a Stratocaster, playing Cream songs, just doesn't cut it. Doesn't have the thick sound of a Gibson. He did have moments of brilliance though, but that Strat.......

wow! that WAS a long time ago! 😉 I saw Clapton when 'E.C. Was Here' came out ('75). BTW, my PBS has Queen Live at Wembley on right now.

saw them in concert along with SPIRIT in 1968.....

The show is starting here(east coast US) now and it sounds damn fine but I'm kindof glad I have the computer desk so that I'm facing away from the tv. I did notice that the fog machines don't seem to be working as they were when I saw Clapton those many years ago...what? They didn't use fog machines? Then what were the spot lights shining through? Oh yeah, now I remember 😀 Man, us babyboomers are getting old :bang:
Oh well, when I saw The Who on their third(?) farewell tour they were still doing "My Generation".
