completely out of control...

It's been a while since an opening post here has made me laugh, but this one did... and in a good way.

You're incorrigible, Joe!

you're outracing my bag acquisitions by a factor of six to one. (although i'm tempted by one of those Ona bags too.)

i've just repopulated my Hasselblad kit and was delighted to realized that I have a perfectly appropriate case for the kit already ... my Pelican roller case. It should fit the 500CM, SWC, two lenses, three backs, filters, and other paraphenalia very nicely. I might need a new set of foam innards so I can cut out the appropriate shapes.

I'm glad I hadn't sold that bag off. 🙂

When you start buying bags to keep all the bags in, I'll start worrying about you, Joe.

If the endless search for the perfect bag keeps you happy, then enjoy the quest - just keep an eye on where the pennies go; remember Mr Micawber!

Perhaps you can start a bag review blog? Would be good to capitalise on that experience, and I'm sure you'd have a following...

Joe has convinced me that the stuff I have in my B&H "Wish List" isn't that bad... especially since I've been eyeing the Sub Urban Disguise by ThinkTank and a new viewfinder and a couple other items and . . . . 😀

Cheers,
Dave

I think the coat in your Avatar helps you hide all those bags you have. Sorta like the guy on the corner selling watches pined to his coat lining🙂

Joe,
where did you roam around with Helen that you caught the bag bug again ?😉

Hehee Hi Klaus,
I think it was when I took Joe to the 'Leica ' store on West Broadway...
He was fondling the Bags , I was fondling the M3 from their used gear counter
And then I raised hell asking the Owner & Salesman are they members at RFf 😉

can't blame helen...not sure what has hit me!.

Completely out of control, hmmmm, I think it started when I saw you walking against the red lights...something You admitted you would never do in Edmonton ...lol

a couple of days ago I ordered a new billingham 1.4 bag...to go along with the new billingham L2 bag I got just before my NYC trip...
last night I ordered a new ona bowery bag...
and a canon fd 100/2.8 lens...

there is a new porteen custom bag at home also...

I bought a samyang 8/2.8 lens here in ny at b&h...

waiting at home at the post office are a fd>xf adapter, lens mate thumb thing for my xp1...and I think that is it...but I can't be sure!

I'll be interested to hear your assessment of the 1.4 and the Bowery...both bags I'm considering. I'm picking up a Ona Brooklyn tomorrow in a local deal.

Joe's proper nom de plume should not be back alley, but rather bag alley.

Exactly! Now that I've been back working for 8 months, I feel inadequate that I have only purchased one bag...

Seriously, I like reading Joe's bag posts, as it might save me from buying a bag that won't fit my needs. He is performing a valuable service here....
