Consecutive serial numbers

Just noticed on eeeebay (item 230553603083) an Nikon S with the serial number 6095655 - I own 6095656, would love to buy it just to have the cameras together again but alas the asking price is a whopping $900+😱
Anyone else have consecutive serial numbers in their collection?

No, but I have two Nikkor 24mm f2.8 lenses with one serial number exactly 600 larger than the other one. Seems kind of unusual to me.

Why bother?
Collecting based on consecutive serial numbers is a Fools Game.
You can never dispose of any piece of equipment lest its consecutively-numbered mate show up later.

My Noctilux is only 10 numbers different from the one shown on the front cover photo of G. Osterloh's "Leica M" book, does that count ?
