Looking at your original post (don't know if this has been answered already) the buffer in the d3 shooting jpegs will take an awful lot of shooting to fill and you would have to be using a really slow card. I've had all the 1d cameras except for the mark 4 (which was really a mark3n) and found the best for focus speed have been the mark2n and the 1dx. If I was you I would get a 70-200 2.8 which will focus quicker than the f4 the converter slows things down as well so why not think about a 300mm f4.
As to low light ISO with the mark3 I would use mine up to 3200, now using 1dxs ISO does not really mean much anymore I use auto ISO, most of the time I don't even know what ISO I've been using.
