So, just wondering if anyone here has tried this combo. I hear there are IR sensors for the film sprockets. Maybe they can be taped for IR? I am interested in color IR (HIE) and bw IR... would love to see some examples if anyone pulled it off successfully....

I've seen a post that said that the near IR films were ok with the IR/LED the fogging was slight but the far infrareds were annoyed. If you tape the holes the camera wont work.

I shoot IR film in my Contax G2's all the time. The sensor that counts the sprocket holes does fog the edge of the film , but since I am not printing or scanning the holes, I do not mind it. Here are photos taken with my G2 , 21mm lens and Kodak High Speed IR film. I used a 25 a red filter over the lens.
