Here some TIFF from my beloved biogon 28 wide open.

I used some GEPE glasseless slides to have the neg perfectly flat, and it gave me some seriously better result than with the crappy epson film holder.

Finally I found a way to scan my neg that is rewarding, giving a quality that zeiss glass deserve

I explained the way I scan on my blog (cf signature)

The more I use this camera, the more I am pleased with it 🙂

I would like the 35 f 2 too 😀

I looked at the neg through my Leitz slide projecter , it is quite beautifull, zeiss lenses are fantastic

OK but what's the point of posting 6MB tiff files online, especially if you think that they're still left/right inverted, not properly post-processed yet and full of dust specs ???

And the nameplate on the locomotive is not sharp I'm afraid.

well, the inversion of the pictures doesn't affect sharpness, and i didn't wanted to process , it would affect the neg.
Concerning the sharpness, well it was more sharp on the slide projector of course, I have met the limit of my scanner maybe

My French is rusty but I can piece together the gist of it: tried BetterScanning glass, it worked but was cumbersome, eventually the glass fell and broke. Got the idea to try GEPE glassless slide mounts, which come in a variety of sizes and even in a special version for scanning which doesn't mask part of the film frame. Happy with the results, obviously slower work because you're forced to scan one at a time, but on the plus side they're cheap so you can leave your best shots right in the slide mount for storage.

Hope I got this about right.
