Hi,
I keep getting empty frames on my Contax T - all instances where the shutter does not fire. The next few images are then OK again. I use it primarily in the cold, which makes me think it is just that. When very cold, it may not take a single shot. Any other potential sources for this? When testing at home without film it seems OK.

What is „very cold“?
The camera is electronically controlled and either dirt causes the shutter to misbehave in the cold or the electronics don‘t like the cold.

Mine does this. The best work around which works is. Only wind on the film just before you take the shot. If I wind on and do not trip the shutter for saying 1 hour, it will not trip the shutter.

I have one like this as well but it would do so even when shooting sequentially. You could hear a light ping but not the sound of the shutter actuating. From reviewing the service manual it's likely some kind of electronic/connection issue which could follow along with things like cold or a long period between shutter actuation. You can find the relevant page here with some instructions on what to review.
