Dear all,
I picked up a Contax T from a camera fayre yesterday. It was an impulse purchase. The camera is cosmetically challenged but seems to work and the price was good
There were no instructions or paperwork, just the camera. I have managed to load a roll of film and have fired off a few shots. I have heard that this camera is a bit pinikity when it comes to film loading and if not done exactly, there may be problems with frame overlap.
I would be grateful if anyone can give me some information about loading film into this camera or any other tips. Is there a downloadable instruction manual? I couldn't find any with Google. Many thanks.

Contax T help.
The T model is a great little camera.
portraits like this don't get away!
It is indeed fussy about film loading though.
I would be willing to copy that section of the manual and send it on if you would like.
Just send a note to my e-mail.

Thanks for the replies Bill and JH.
JH: Many thanks for your offer, I've sent you a PM.
I have had the first roll of film back from the lab. Everthing looked OK with no overlapping of frames. Looks like I lucked out with the film loading. The sonnar lens was fairly sharp although I did notice some vignetting with the lens wide open.

hey guys, I would appreciate a copy of that PDF too.. I love my T, but I haven't gotten the hang of loading it as it has overlapping frames pretty regularly.. about once per roll.. and ALWAYS on my best shots

I spent a little too much time by the pool the day beforevarjag said:Brett, there is some reddish cast on your face!
and for future reference, here's the info that JHawker shared.. personally, I don't think it's any different than what I have been doing, so I don't expect it to fix the frame overlap issue.. but it's helpful for new old T owners
