Contax T2 focuring problem

Hey.
I have a Contax T2 and I cant get the focusing perfect 🙁
I know how to do in theory, but the pics turn out faulty (in my opinion)
This pic is over Stockholm, shot on Tri-X 400, processed and scanned at a pro lab. What do you think of the picture? Is this as good as it gets?
Need some advice 🙂

I used to get similar results from one hour photo labs, and would think their Noritsu and/or Fuji SP machines are to blame.

Do you try to focus in low light or high contrast situations? I used to own a Contax TVS which approximatively a T2 fitted with a Vario Sonnar 28-56 and whereas the lens was great, the focusing was erratic and according to what I have read, it is a common issue on both cameras. Do not hesitate to use the manual focusing mode.

I your case, I wonder if the focus is done on the leaves.

I had a Contax T2 with focussing issues. It wasn't sharp anywhere on 90% of the pictures !
Hope you don't have a faulty one.

In fact, I think that its auto-focus was worst than most P&S and to me, it has to do with its design, not being faulty.

Hmm.. I have had quite of few of these but they all focus fine. Did you accidentally lodge the dial pass the AF section? It happens sometimes.

My Contax T2 also has a problem auto-focusing, in that I can only focus on images in the center of the view-finder. If I half-press and recompose it will still refocus on the images center when shot.

I love the T2 and have owned a few but have yet to encounter one that focuses perfectly.
