Contax T2 - is this behaviour ok?

I have a Contax T2 now that behaves a bit odd. I have had at least 6 different T2's in the past but I can't recall them doing this... When going from ∞ to manual focus it turns itself off and then on again when coming into the manual focus zone... Could someone try this and let me know? Would be very kind. Thanks

Just tried mine and it doesn't do that. It stays switched on. I had a T2 a few years back and that also didn't do what yours does. Sounds a little odd that behaviour. Faulty contact?
