Hi, i got a Contax T3, very comfortable camera, i can took it to places where i wouldn´t dare to carry other cams.

Here are some pics from my first roll of Xp2, P mode almost.

Cheers!

Congrats to your T3 Elmer! Great shots! I use the Contax T and the Contax G2. Looking at Contax T3 shots it seems like it is slightly better than the G2 with the 35mm lens. It is more similar to the 45mm G lens.

That camera takes wonderful photos. No problems there at all.

Sure looks like an unhappy bunch in that first photo!

Is there more to see?

I rely heavily on my T3 as you can see from my flickr. It's an incredible camera as I've said here many times. Its best feature probably is the fact that closed, it fits in my pants pockets...But that incredible lens helps too...

Try color, that's where it really shines.

I love my T2, but will admit I am a little disappointed in the rate of misfocused shots per roll. Usually it is simply focusing in the distance instead of the foreground, leading to un-appealing blurry foreground elements. I suppose I could use the scale-focusing more often, but guess I just want to be able to point and shoot with it for the most part.

I had a T3 for about a year. Incredibly sharp lens but I somehow never bonded with it. Found the menu fiddly and no manual focus drove me nuts. I wanted it to replace my Rollei 35. Finally sold the T3 to a member here. Still have the Rollei but now mostly shoot digital.

Anyway, nice pjotos. Enjoy!

You do point to what you want in focus, focus lock (half-depress the shutter), and then re-frame (still half-depressing the shutter)?

The T3 took a few years for me to fully appreciate. It's not a manual camera unless you want to scale focus. If you want better manual control the T2 is better (no menu) but then you lose the pre-focusing ability.

My trick is to open it at f2.8 & get close:

I usually use it as a waist-level type camera. I don't look thru the viewfinder, I check the top LCD for the distance. It allows me to get more interesting angles and using its MFD (35cm or so).

Great pictures !
Having a T3 myself I can confirm the same quality I get from it.
I am convinced that certain camera's are specialized for a certain job (that's why I have many camera's).
The T3 is a realistic picturetaker and fulfills that tasks extremely well.
Compared to a Hexar AF - I use this camera to slow down and give myself more time to compose, a Hexar AF is more dreamy - the T3 I use for fast registration. It's a champ in that part of the game.

Hi, thanks to all of you for your imput, it´s very encouraging!

After a while using this marvel it´s the best answer to a p mode camera to go with everywhere.

Morback: Great shots! only tested 100 proimage colour film just to test flash capabilities, but surely i´ll stick in some portra 400 vc!

I was a little concerned about possible miss focus but after testing it proved very reliable. In another thread i posted before bying this t3, some members claimed the AF sensors in some cams may be out of alignment, even in G series it they say it happens, after that explanation now i guess my former G2 was missadjusted! But not this one!

Well, i´ll say a sacrilege, i´m so happy with my t3 that i just sold my CLE w/ VC 40mm and cashed in enough $$$ to get a rollei sonnar 40mm htf 2.8 lens and other stuff :D.

Here are some more shots with her and Xp2!

Cheers! Check out my flickr i´m just beginning!

PD: Bagdadchild, you are so right, minutes ago i was telling a friend o´mine this sonnar is so similar to the G Planar (45mm lens) rendering!

...which is why I want to swap my M2 for a G+45! Incredible optics, incredible character...(both of them).

I had a TVS for a short time. I was always amazed by the images I got from it. All of the T cameras were really remarkable performers. The images I got from the TVS were a big reason I eventually bought a G system.

Great shots. Enjoy the camera.
