After some searching, I found a post that stated there is a hole in this model behind the film door, below the viewfinder. There is a screw that reveals a service hatch that allows access to adjust the rangefinder calibration.

I opened the service hatch and revealed a screw, and a larger screw with notches underneath it. I loosened the top screw. However I can't figure out what to do to adjust the rangefinder calibration. I seem to only have made it worse.

See pictures. What do I do with these screws to adjust the rangefinder image left/right?

I'm not familiar with this model but if you are adjusting the focusing, you need to set the lens at infinity then make your rangefinder adjustments in very small amounts, until the RF patch is perfectly coincident. Make sure you place your eye in the exact same place in the viewfinder because if you move it side to side, you're going to be chasing this focus forever.
You are also going to want to check the infinity hard stop of the lens visually against the actual film plane. Use a ground glass or even a taught piece of scotch tape to have the image land then you can inspect it with a loupe (or a fast SLR lens). You're going need a tripod and a dark cloth for this visual inspection and calibration.

Thanks for your reply Phil. I don't think I will need to test the infinity focus against the film plane, since all the cameras I've come across have been OK with regards to that, just not the RF calibration.

Looks like I need to unscrew some screws and move the rangefinder assembly over a little bit to get it to align properly, the screw pictured does nothing.

Unfortunately screws are stuck so I will have to leave overnight with some WD-40 dripped against the screw threads.
