I guess most members here don't know it, but if you want a "state-of-the art" modern, sophisticated medium format SLR for both 4,5x6 and 6x6 format from new production, you can get the Hy6 Mod.2, produced by DW Photo (former DHW = former Franke&Heidecke). Despite the insolvency of first F&H, and the successor company DHW, the current successor company DW Photo is continuing the production of the Hy6 Mod.2 medium format SLR and lenses.

Another option are the current Hasselblad H5 and H6 cameras with the dedicated film back.
Hasselblad brought the film compatibility back some years ago because of customer demand.

That's great news I thought they were totally gone, being a owner of Rolleiflex 6002
it's great to hear!

Maybe they will soon get back to TLR production.
There seems to be a Renaissance of Rollei TLR aficionados as of late.

Long live the Rollei 6000 series - really wish the battery was a standard non proprietary pack, though

I like some of those, especially the silver and blue one. No accounting for taste, eh?

I bought a brand new 6060 insert just last Summer, and the factory did a repair of another piece of my kit over the Winter. 2019 and they're still kicking, that's really cool if you ask me!
Best camera I've ever purchased, and I've owned too many at this point.

That’s wonderful news. A buddy and I were talking about the latest crop of MF mirrorless cameras (I love that the sales copy for the Fuji GFX describes it as great for snapshots or something to that effect; medium format is one hell of a thing for just snapshots!) and mentioned how I’d rather have the versatility of film/digital. Moot point since it’s beyond my budget anyway!
I’ve always loved the versatility of 6x6 and enjoy square prints, even, but never got quite along with TLRs. Used to do a fair number of headshots and professional portraits and would shoot a battered Bronica SQ side-by-side with digital just for the fun of it, and those inevitably ended up being the shots clients would choose. I’ve been thinking about retiring the Bronica and picking up an old Pentax or Mamiya, but 645 seems too limiting and 6x7 total overkill. Glad to hear someone’s still making film cameras, if anything not because I’d buy new, but have support on a used one like SaveKodak experienced.
Looking at the prices for a Bronica waist level finder is depressing.
