Converted Lenses on M8 focus problem

I tried to take some pics with my old screw mount Elmar 50 2.8 (nr.153xxxx) with my m8 and i got really disappointed 😡, it seems this lens loses infinity focus by adding an adapter to it on m8, I tried and older Hector 50 2.5 nickel (180xxx) and it was fine the infinity focused perfectly, WHY??? they are both 50mm right?😕

It should work. But remember there are some grotty adapters out there. Use the ones Cameraquest sells....
