I purchased a Nikon Coolscan 8000 on ebay to scan a lot of 120 vintage B&W negatives. I paid extra, as the outfit included the hard to find glass carrier. It has Anti Newton Ring glass on the top, and plain glass on the bottom of the carrier. It is thin 1 mm glass. Before I used it, I sat on it (I kid you not). I found a company called View Point that makes exact size replacement glass. Problem is I have not figured out how to remove the broken glass from the top of the carrier (the Anti Newton piece). It has a thin black strip around it which may be adhesive or tape of some king which holds the broken glass in place. The bottom glass did not break. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Oooh, that's too bad. You might try contacting these folks. Even though they deal mainly w/ flatbed scanners they know their stuff. Great scanner by the way. Mine made really good MF scans,
