Coolscan 9000 firewire

Can I use my Coolscan 9000 which came with a firewire 400 cord on a Macbook Pro which has a firewire 800 input?

yes. you just need a 400>800 cable. I do this all the time with external drives.

YES! I think you saw my previous thread about having to get the white macbook instead of the aluminum because of the aluminum not having firewire. Well now apple has changed their entire laptop lineup and there is a $1200 aluminum Macbook Pro with firewire 800!!!!!!!!!

Yes they finally caved in and added it to the 13" so happy!
