"Copy image URL"

What's happened to "Copy image URL", I can't get it to show and hence can't display any images. Am I missing something? Peter

Do you mean in the Gallery? Do you mean for copying into a thread?

I post pictures from my photos ( accessible through the Gallery) and have done it for quite some while, but when I tried today no amount of right clicking would bring up
"copy image url" which is necessary to add an image to a post. I'm baffled. Peter

In the Gallery click on the EXIF data and then go down to Click for image URL. That brings up a pane with the image url which can be copied and then pasted in a thread.

Well I found and clicked on the "exif" tab but was unsuccessful at getting it to work with
the "insert image" icon. Must be missing a step. Peter
ps: is this a recent change ?

You don't need to use the insert image button. Just paste the URL from the exif data directly into the message. It already incorporates the markup language needed.

Thanks guys, it worked. But just one more request, if I try to post the picture at it's larger size the "exif" button is completely hidden and prevents me from posting the larger
size. Sorry for all this newbie sounding questions, but only a few days ago it was so simple to use the right clicked "copy image url". Thanks a lot. Peter

Curious... It still works for me, but I'm on a Mac. Enlarge the gallery image, Control-click, choose Copy Image Location using the popup menu, then I paste it into the Insert Image icon in the thread... like here, let's see if it still really works... Yep!

Just plain pasting the URL into the thread Quick Reply box doesn't do it for me...

Thanks Doug. I'm a happy camper now. Strange though how this just happened after 2 or 3 years of doing it with a simple right click,oh well I'm over it.
