Thought you guys might enjoy knowing about this great strap company.
They came to my attention because of their great guitar straps, which are made from NOS automotive textiles—seat vinyl and the like. I have a bunch of them; they're terrific. I only recently noticed that they make camera straps too.
I opted for a couple of the seatbelt straps, which are nice and slippery, so that you can hold the camera like a satchel and move it up to your eye without it binding to your clothing. The colors are cool too. I've been a wrist strap guy for years so this is kind of a new thing for me but I'm enjoying these a lot.

The recycled Blue-Green seatbelt is just the kind of thing that would drive my oldest crazy with embarrassment. Would go perfect with a Nikon FTn body and say a 200/4......
Thanks for the heads up, good selection, looks to be good quality and the price seems very reasonable.

Makes me thinking about the straps they made in the 80's and 90's for the heavy SLR's,
think they do not match that great with a small camera like a rangefinder...
btw your Canon P looks great

I would have agreed they are too wide, except after carrying a light camera bag for a few weeks on a recent trip, narrow straps finally began to hurt, to the point I began moving the strap very far out on my shoulder.

wide is ok for a bag...but too in the way on a camera...

There are thin straps on the site! I particularly like the MB-Tex thin strap and wallet!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the link, love how they are using 'dead stock!'
Do you know the length of the straps? No specs on the site.
I sent them an email as well but thought I would ask.
........ response from email regarding length of camera straps
Hey Dan,
Thanks for getting in touch.
The straps vinyl body is 31 inches long. The total adjustable range is 31-49 inches facilitated by the nlck nylon adjustment webbing on both ends of the strap. The width of the strap is about two inches.
Hope that helps,
Matt

Ah, glad you're interested, guys! I like a wide strap personally, so the seat belts are nice for me. But yeah, they do narrower ones, too.

That was the one I like too, referring to it as MB-Tex. Let us know how it is in person!

Clever idea. You sure don't have to worry about breaking them even in a crash
. Do you think Leica users will buy them? They don't cost $240.

Some will if you tell them the seat belt material was secretly recovered from crashed Lamborghini Aventadors.
Just a thought.....

.... I went for the wide Red 80's Mercedes camera strap.
I did not see the narrow one but wanted to try a wide one to take the camera along on a long walk without a camera bag. Trying new ways to adapt to my environment as I age!

Here is the narrow: Mercedes Super Slim
...and the wallet: Mercedes Wallet
MB-Tex is the material. The pattern has changed over the years. It looks like Couch is using the '72-'80 type.
