Shot and posted here 3 days ago but the shots got lost in the wash.
M9 with 35mm Summilux at f16. The b&w got a little mid-tone help from Photomatix. I use the floating point math 'Raw Photo Processor' as developer.

And where are the other contributors to this thread? There are more than three M9s in this forum, surely?

Well I'm going to join soon : My M8 is now officially sold and got the money in the bank account, so I will be cameraless ( well digitally ) from tomorrow and will pick up the M9.

Strange feeling now to be honest : loved my M8 with all its quirks and faults that are inerehnt to the M8 - mine apart from the usual was flawless and I hope the new owner ( was sold here in RFF to a member ) makes good use of it.

but I'm also sure that this strange feeling ( its pretty much like letting a friend go ) will quickly disapear once my M9 is here...

Don't worry. All of the familiar problems with the M8 will be right there with your M9.

I think if its a 100% flawless, high fps, up to iso 390801293839000, 400mp, light camera - what is the fun ?

its the same thing of going around in a classic car : if it had abs brakes, air conditioning, power steering, what is the charm of a 1920 car ? none. its part of the charm.

thats the way I see Leica.

hopefully they produce the best lens ever and fantastic cameras.

at least thats how I justify the outrageous amoutns I spent on those things 🙂

Very nice mood, Jaap.

I knew you would love this lens.😉 It has been a fave of mine...even though on an M8.2...for the last year. (...along with the 28 Summicron asph...not too shabby, either.)

I never shoot Jpg, so the camera setting is irrelevant (is even greyed out). This was just a normal DNG conversion in C1-5 pro. The highlights were pulled down about 15%. I did not tweak the color specifically. In CS4 just levels, curves. A bit dodge in the midtones on the beaks, that is all.

Jaap, these are some great images. I'm sure the camera deserves some credit for the results, but, ultimately, I credit is due the photographer, too.

I'm curious: if you had to give up your M9 and only shoot with your M8, how disappointed would you be? I love my M8 and, with one kid finishing college, I'm afraid an upgrade to an M9 is years off (or never) for me.
