The way this lens renders just blows the v. IV/V Summicron out of the water. (I had a v. IV 'cron for something like 12 years. Never liked it.)
If I didn't have a Pentax 50/1.4 for my M6, the Planar would be the lens to get.

I prefer it too, I've never considered a 50 Cron since getting it. I'd buy a 50 Lux ASPH, but it wouldn't replace the Planar, they have their own looks

Another dangerous thread to visit besides the ZM35/2.8. Lovely colours on that raptor shot CrisR. That portrait of the mother and daughter by (Neoart) is another killer.

Very cool!
I've tried some Eastman Double-X and was really impressed with it. Did you brew this Harvey 777 yourself?

This batch of Harvey 777 have been in my darkroom for decades. Slowly deteriorating plastic bag! decided to mix it up and try it with 35mm film. Long time ago I used to use it for 4x5 and occasional 120. Works well with the XX/TriX - though it is not exactly fine grain. Great tonality though. So far I have done about 70 rolls in my stock solution - no decrease in quality.
I did order some replacement from Bluegrass Packaging in Louisville, Kentucky and should have that in a couple of weeks. Nice place to deal with too.
Check them out on "Bluegrasspackaging.com". They seemingly makes up batches now and then, so you better grab it while you can.
To mix it yourself you would have to get some Paraphenyl Diamine" which is difficult to get and a bit unhealthy as a single component.
