Sounds scary but I found this Mamiya 6MF (Item number: 130256606956) on sale on evilbay. If you note the description, the seller says that the camera is suffering from "moisture damage." I contacted the seller to get a more detailed description and was told that body had been dropped in the ocean, which has ruined the electronics inside of the camera! The seller advised me that the item should be bought only by someone willing to have the body repaired or by someone who could do the repair themselves. Odd but true...BTW, I'm staying away from this one.

The seller is in Santa Cruz, California, so I'm assuming the Pacific Ocean...Maybe he was trying to surf with the camera?!

I bought a 28mm Elmarit from evilbay under similar circumstances from a NJ dealer I have bought from before and the description sounded as if it can be repaired but it turned out to be a total loss.
"Moisture damage" huh?
At least he was up front enough to mention it. I bought a camera off eBay... the guy said he wasn't sure about the meter because he didn't have a battery to test it. Got it cheap, and still lost because the circuits were all corroded and ruined from sitting wet having been in salt water. Oh well... donor parts.
