Canada, eh.
But not worried. This too shall pass.

An unexpected benefit of my new xe2, is that i know that it is a creative lull, not just a matter of being too lazy to deal with the film process. The former is excusable because it is out of our hands, sloth on the other hand ...

Take you new little friend to a different place (other than home) and sit with it for 30 minutes.

Walk to a new place and sit for another 30 minutes.

No cell phones, tablets, computers, just you and your new friend.

Rinse and repeat as necessary, new venue sometimes can shake loose the cobwebs.

Look for shadows, look for highlights, look for something or nothing, just look.

You'll find it, though it may not be right away.

Make up a story and then document it.

Photograph the getaway car (any fast car will do.)

Photograph the bank that was hit.

Photograph the police giving chase.

Photograph the police station.

Photograph the robbers.

Photograph the moll

If I can't think up anything on my own I pick up a crime stories magazine or (in my case) a western stories magazine. Anything will do. I bet there are lots and lots of collections of short stories in your library. Even a good romance will do. 🙂

I completely flip from my normal. I shoot mostly film, so I go digital or Polaroid. Sometimes, just going to one of my TLRs, or my Brownie Hawkeye Flash does the trick. I'm not as gear oriented as most of the RFF members, but a switch in equipment helps this syndrome. Part of it is having to learn or relearn how to use these camera, and the images just happen.
