It isn't often that an image I see in my mind and viewfinder is the one that makes its way to my film. This is one of those rear images.

As I put some thought into this and held to that standard, I pulled it off, I request your opinions and critique of this image. Every comment is welcome. I am wondering what you think of it for my own satisfaction and education.

Thanks.

I guess it would be fine to post comments here or in the gallery, I will see them in either place.

Bump appreciated 🙂

Others mentioned it and I agree, I like how the picture tells a story. With a few well chosen elements you're clearly transmitting an idea. When I look at it I think on many after play/country walk moments when I was a child, as a memory trigger it's a very good image.

Like also the focus/aperture choice, and the orientation of the shoe in the foreground, which is paired with the one on leg and arm.

That thing on the right seems to be disturbing at first, but if you think about it, also has the 'right' orientation as it's paired with the other arm and leg. It's a pity that we can't clearly see what it is, and if it's related to the context or not.

The head and right arm crops could be discussed, as without them we don't know if they would add to the image or not 🙂

The empty space on the upper right corner could be burned to make it less distracting, it would have been a great place to fill with some other context element, like a soccer ball or a baseball glove/bat or something.

Hope I gave some useful feedback 🙂

To me it seems like a good shot as it is. Just that "something" on the right hand side, looking like the handle of a baseball bat, looks out of context.

If it were more defined i.e. showing a baseball bat or a tennis racquet, then the photo will be a cracker shot showing exhaustion after playing sport.

Obviously for everything to fall in the right place for a candid shot is something really rare.

Thank you very much for all your comments regarding my photo. I will try to remove that thing, end of a Pogo Stick I think, in PS. I am satisfied that many of your comments about the story you see in the picture are what I saw too.

Thank you very much. I come here to learn from you and improve as much as to hang out with you guys. I feel like I am still going in the right direction.
