cross processing

I've been meaning to try this out for a while, and now that I've gotten back into film I'm going to give it a spin. I've noticed there seems to be about three different ways the "look" turns out. Either really greeny-yellow.. really blueish.. or slightly washed out looking. I realize the process is kind of random, but which films seem to turn out what way? I like the greeny-yellow look most.

A lot depends on the light.

I go for either bright direct sunlight, or late night bar light.

That's for well-expired E6 going thorough C41 minilab.

Kodak E100 VS & GX were greeny the last time I ran them C-41- dandelions were great.

Basically the results are unpredictable, thats what makes it fun, and expired film is a good bit cheaper as well.

I personally like Kodak Elite Chrome 100. It stays a little more neutral than the 100 VS.

That said when I cross process, I also tend to Photoshop my results quite a bit to get rid of the green cast that doesn't please me. I love the high contrast and grain of cross processing but I don't always like the color cast.
