Hello,

I am thinking about getting a Crumpler Farmer's Double. But does anyone on the forum have this bag? Can you attach a tripod on the side of the bag? Thanks. 🙁

If you select the brown/yellow colours, and then click to get the bigger picture (aw heck, here's the link! CLICK ME) you'll see what appears to be a loop running diagonally up the side of the bag. You could probably hang your tripod by the handle, or even run a leg or two through there. I don't see any actual attachment points, though...

Maybe send them an email and ask if there are any attachments or riggings not shown for such a thing. There may be slots or something on the bottom, through which nylon webbing could be run, creating a flexible (and removable) attachment system for carrying the tripod horizontally. Let us know what you find out.

oh, i just looked at one of these bags last week when i was up in the chicagoland area. i'm not sure if it was this model (it was one of the photo backbacks).

the pack has got GOBS of padding and an interesting design for dual-use. part of the space is for camera equipment, another part for other items (snacks, notebooks, jackets, etc) and (the bag i was saw had) space for a laptop. the top half was for the laptop sleeve and the open area for other items and the bottom zippered area was for camera equipment.

the part of the pack that rest across your back is stiff and well-padded as was the camera area and laptop "sleeve." the camera area had the expected padded dividers with velcro to move around to fit your needs.

i don't know how you would attach a tripod though.... caribiner through the fabric handle on the side maybe? hope that info helps.
