custom step-up rings?

it really is the little things that annoy me...such as when you sink a decent amount of money into a super 8 camera (nalcom FTL 1000) when you realize that it doesnt come with a lens cap. Normally not a big deal but for some strange reason the filter thread for this camera is 70mm (i think will have to find some proper calipers) which is not a common thread size. So i decided to buy a step-up ring and gosh darn it they do not make them in that size. So good people of this forum what does this poor boy do? Is there a place that offers custom step-up rings? or is there anyone on this forum game enough to try and make one?

I think the company you need is called S.K. Grimes. They make lens caps, step rings and other stuff. Good Luck, Joe.

I sold these cameras wholesale many years back. Check that size again it maybe 67 or 72mm.

im just checking out SK Grimes. I have a cokin 72mm filter for my HDV camera and it is just a little too big!

Heliopan of Germany makes fine quality custom rings and they're cheaper than S.K. Grimes. You just gotta get a dealer to place the order or you.
