i was looking at purses today...i mean new camera bags...and came across this, maybe new, lowepro - streamline 100 - it's perfect for the x100 and a few small bits. long strap, good padding, bright orange inside, black (or red) outside. more narrow than my 5xa (so better for crowded areas) but similarly sized...
and cheap at 38 bucks

streamline 100

no inside pockets...but the little divider has a sewn in lens cloth and a pocket for an extra sd card
the outside back & front each has a zippered pocket.

check out the link...

Cute bag. I can't help but think that anything smaller than a satchel -similar to a briefcase, does look like a purse.

I think you guys have a problem with all these bags, it really is like those girls on "Sex in the City". Combine this with the shoe thread where all these togs came out with their bespoke British shoes and it just confirms my diagnosis.

I had a camera bag when I was working professionally, and needed to carry 5 lenses, my body, camera, flash gels, cf cards, bounce cards, etc.

Now that I carry a Leica M4 and 35mm lens, I actually found a felt (velour?) bag with a drawstring (similar to a crown royal bag if there are Canadians reading lol). And it's worked out pretty perfect, being that I just chuck my camera in the bag and then put it inside an interior pocket of my shoulder bag I lug to class with my books.
