anyone have some real-world image samples of these lenses on the R-D1 - I hear so much about vignetting, and see Sean Reid's flat wall evaluation, but would like to see some actual photos...would love to get one, but need to see an image first!
Will be doing mostly B&W, where I'd guess it isn't as much of a problem...

Last year I tried out LaptopRob's CV 15 on my R-D1. Two of the shots are _on my PAW blog_.

There are some sample pictures (other than the snowy field) in that article.

Here are some shots I took with the C/V 15 using a Bessa r3a and (mostly) Tri-x that I posted on my blog.

CV 12/15- processed?
CV 12/15- processed?
guys-
Thanks for the pointers to some images. will go look for them now...
Question - how processed are they? did you leave the vignetting or eliminate it (through PS or Epson RAW, if so?)

If I use the Epson software to "remove" vignetting, I never use the setting for the right focal length. I usually use the setting for the next or second-next focal length. I found that those settings give me more appealing results.
BTW, the shots on my PAws blog were not anti-vignetted.

You have to discount any shots taken with a full frame film camera as the R-D1 digital has different issues with regards vignetting of wide angle lenses. My experience with my 15mm & R-D1 is, while vignetting is an issue, in most cases I dont notice it and if I do I fix it in Cameraraw or Photoshop. Vignetting looks good most of the time. Its just not a big issue for me.

Now I have the urge to go out and take some photos with the C/V 15 and the R-D1...the weekend is coming!

I ended up going for the 12...that eliminates much of the vignetting issue and .it will be an 18 on the R-D1 and a 16 on the DigM....I'm used to that from my Canon 16-35, this should have even less distortion....full frame 12 would be too much, but 18 and 16 will be manageable

I think the 12 was a good choice.

I also ended up reading the whole forum (well, not every message) from when it started a few years ago...my searches hadn't found lots of the material on these lenses, all of which was very useful.
thanks to all of you who posted!
