I think you'll be pleased with your choice Chris. The key to getting great results with this lens is using the stock hood. The aftermarket ones are just too wide or too narrow for this particular lens.

I have the 28 Hexanon and indeed have trouble getting a proper Hood that isn't too narrow.

Anybody have some advice on where to find a good hood for this lens if the original is not available?

may need also a bit of work to get good orientation of open sector in finder for M-Hexanon 28mm.
