Hello,

overhere in Germany there are two sellers of photo-stuff who are also having the CV 35/1.4 MC in their program.
Its price increased in the last week about 50 €.

Does anyone know why that is? Christmas coming? Production decrease at Cosina? 😕😕😕

probably all those banking stuff affected photo world also. sellers probably try to protect themselves...
have you decided to buy nokton 35? and btw how much is nokton 40 in germany?

The answer is simple enough. Most world currencies including the Euro and USD have lost a lot of value against the yen in the last few months.

Here's a graph of the Euro/Yen exchange rate for the last six months. The vertical axis is the cost of one euro in yen and the horizontal axis is the time line.

I also noticed price change in Germany. Just last two weeks I was eyeing R3A + Nokton 40mm for under €750 (Fotomundus) but ended up buying a nice set from a member here. Today I was checking some lenses and the price for the same set is €840 now. I’m not sure why that is. If you look at the bigger (digital) names at the moment they’re actually starting to give a lot of rebates, pricedrops, special deals because the stock is not moving too quick.

Does anyone have any sales figures from analogue camera brands? Say for Voigtlander R models or Zeiss Ikons? Would be interesting to see what the volumes are.
