I’ve reed in some posts that voigtlander cv 35 2.5 tends to close the low light in comparison with 35 2 canon ltm (I tested both and it true); but I don’t understand why!
Can someone explain to me the technical reason of this?
Thanks in advance

I really don't understand the question Caila, but I'm try to respond anyway. The CV35/2.5 is a little bit slower lens than the Canon 35/2. And since it is a tad slower the Canon would be slightly better for low light work. As for the lens "closing" in low light, well I've never heard of this. The only way the lens could close up is if you changed the aperture setting on the lens. I don't think many people here understood your question.

I guess Caila is saying that the shadows show less detail, that could be since the CV is newer and contrastier than the canon lens, therefor it will render less detail in extreme lighting, both highlights as shadows.

Sorry for my poor english but I want to wrote exactly the same that Lear wrote. Obviously any comparison at the same f value for both lenses!
