Cv 75/2.5

just bought a new CV28/3.5 from the same dealer. very good build, even smaller than CV21

this time the first one that i've checked is even worse, with an obvious scratch on the lens surface. :bang:
but the 2nd one is ok with no dust or scratches.

And I found out that black colour costs US$40 more than the sliver chrome one, but why?
black colour is more popular?

and the L> M adapter costs me another US$40 🙁

afterall, it's an expensive 28mm lens with the adapter and additional cost for black color. 😱

I have a used CV75 f2.5 that is in fairly rough shape outside, but the glass is still perfect. Over time, it's true that nearly any lens can develop dust as it works it's way though the mechanism (I have a spec in my 50 Summicron!), but these sound like it's something worse than dust and perhaps a byproduct of storage in a humid environment. Your best bet is buying from one of these guys in the US:
Stephen Gandy (LA): www.cameraquest.com
Photo Village (NYC): www.photovillage.com
B&H (NYC): www.bhphotovideo.com

All have similar prices, B&H being the best with returns if something is wrong.

The Ballard Locks, looks like. I used to live right up the street at 32nd Ave and 69th St. NW. Nice photograph & nice use of the CV 21. I just got a 21mm and have been trying it out in similar situations here in Boston.

Thanks, Tom! And you're right about the location. I'd just picked up the camera and lens from a guy in Bellevue and went out to Ballard to give it a try.
