I'd rather wait and see more pics from it before spending any money. Plus I want to see what at looks like too.

The best camera is one that still works!
I placed my order with Scott at Mainline Photographics this morning. Done and dusted...
July seems like a long way off...
Did you get a definite price from Scott?

Put a order in with CameraQuest.com today. July you say.
This ought to be fun, looking forward to taking this for a spin.

Not that I can quote publicly...
But the final price should be inline with Tom A.'s $1100USD, depending on exchange rates and etc. at the time of delivery, of course.
Scott already has placed a large order of the new Nokton's and has confirmed delivery in July.
The really good news is... I do not have to sell my CV Collapsible Heliar 50/3.5 to fund the purchase of a super-fast 50mm lens as thought I would to get the Noctilux.

So it's true.
Cosina Voigtlander has really listened to what people want.
On a ZI it looks like it wouldn't block any of the VF.
I do wish there would be a chrome version!

Is there a mention of the lens and deposit on CQ?

Based on that picture, it looks as though it will have a fairly short (normal-ish?) focus throw. I know some think of the the long travel of the Noctilux as a bane to fast shooting while others think of it as a godsend for critical focusing. Ergonomics is another consideration for so fast a lens.

I am very interested in this lens' signature, but based on what I saw of the 20 pics Tom A has posted, I am not convinced it is like the nokton f1,2 or a mandler-designed lens in terms of rendering. It does seem more like the 40mm f/1,4 signature in some of Tom A's shots.

WoW is all I have to say. This looks like it's going to be a great lens for those who want speed at a reasonable price. I wish Leica could or would do something like this...

Looks like quite the contender! I won't be buying one, as even my Nokton 50 1.5 was stretching my budget, but I am excited to see more results from it!

How about a CV 28mm f/1.4 or a 21mm f/1.2?
Of course the new Nokton 1.1 will shift like crazy, and have ugly bokeh.![]()
Hahaha hilarious
