Hello,
now that my M8 is out to Solms for repair I have some time to think about a 28mm lens for it. Sometimes my 2/35 asph (which I used for the few days of owning the M8) is simply not wide enough.
I already own the CV Color-Skopar 3.5/28 and I would like to know if someone does use this lens on the M8 and what do I have to expect from it. Are there any things to consider when using it on the M8? The alternative would be the Elmarit-M 2.8/28 asph but this would set me back about 2400 CHF :-(
Cheers

I just bought a 28mm / 3.5 for my M8 (also in repair). I have the same questions.

It's a fantastic lens. The M8 loves it. Here's my Flickr photoset of shots taken with that combination:

New to the M8.2..I'm thinking of this lens to pair with a 50mm Summicron I have..Any extra steps required in post since this is a wide lens (<35mm) and uncoded??

I had a Milich LTM to M adapter made and permanently coded my lens, so no extra processing is needed.

Thanks..If I just use a standard M adapter (which I know I will need) and do not code, what extra processing do you think will be required (distortion, vignetting etc?).Thx again..
