Hi all i would like a bit help to make up my mind.I have three canon lenses 28,35,50 and i am concidering selling these along with a canon 7 i dont use very often and buying the cv 28,35,nokton 50.I think i am lusting after a full cv kit but would i be gaining or would i be wasting my time and money maybe i just have a bad case of GAS.The cameras i use most are the R2a,R2,R and T.Thanks for any input

If the 50 is the 50/1.4, 50/1.5 or 50/1.2, I would not trade it against the Nokton (I have used all four).
The Nokton behaves like the Canon 50/1.4, but the Canon is smaller and better built.

For 28 and 35 you cann't go wrong with CV lenses. Best,

Roland.

The canons, being older, have lower contrast. I like that. The 35/1,7 Ultron seems to perform like the small chrome 35/2,8 considering sharpness and contrast. I haven't done a proper comparison yet, but found no big differences in contrast.
So it depends on what you want. I sold my CV 35/2,5 (first generation screw) because of the high contrast. It is a great lens though. Compared to the Rokkor 40 I preferred the CV.
