Well-known
Just wondering if there is anyone on the list who might know about renting darkroom space in Brooklyn. I saw some fiber prints recently (I've been scanning and printing my negs digitally the last few years) and realized that I really need to do some traditional printing again. It's been awhile but it seems like you can only convince yourself how good digital prints are until you actually looks at some fiber prints again.
I used to print at Latent Image in the Manhattan (which closed) and at the JCC on 73rd but the I figure there must be some place to print in Brooklyn with so many photographers and artists around.

Hey just saw this.. I'd like to know too.. I'd even be interested in using someones basement!
Since your in Bklyn, photomanhattan might work for you. They are on 14th btwn 5th and 6th. Do you take the L from union square? Also, printspace isn't too far from there either.
Hmm.. I'm hearing business opportunity here.. You might be able to find some space to lease and start your own printspace in Brooklyn.

The only enlarger I have left, (my parents gave away the others,) is a FSU (suitcase), it has bad foam! It is difficult to get it to do a really good print but not impossible. But bromide or chloro bromides dont need it to be dark like 3200 B&W negative, the safe light is 'bright', some people have to make do with an under stair cupboard and a tube processor.
