With all your ranting about the Leica R series the inevitable happens!

A poor penniless gas afflicted soul goes and wistfully wanders through the corrupt corridors of ebay looking at stuff they'll never need because they barely use the stuff they already have ... some things never change I guess! :D

But I did stumble over this!

sheeesh ...that is sooo UGLY ...who would Buy it
Tasteless & Funny ... good for a movie spoof

Good Find Keith !!

Dave's just lucky that he didn't stumble across an OM to go with his M3 :)

I've tried to sell the OM idea to Dave ... but he's not a taker! :D

An OM-1 is a seriously good companion to an M3 IMO ... they have a lot in common! :)

Ha, ha! Not a bad price for a bit of Leica history!!!:D

Stephen has a better picture in his write up, though...

Is it me or are these golden cameras going down whilst the regular users are going UP in value?

Yep, been looking at the OM-1 and 2...but do they complement an M3 the way the R4 actually does? Moot point anyways as I have nothing left to trade.:(

I bet that would be a nice user camera. The gold is sort of tacky looking, but since it's 24 karat gold plated, it shouldn't take long to wear off . Once it wears off, you'll have a nice, albeit ugly, user.

I'd give $1200 for it. I'm sure all that ugly gold could be easily removed. Then the camera could be replated in nickel, then in chrome. I'm sure that would improve its appearance.
