Where are they when you want one???

Does anyone in the UK have a dead Kiev they would be happy to get rid of?

II / III / IV etc, doesn't matter which.

Something that has already drunk in the last chance saloon. Uglier the better. Surely there are plenty still lying about somewhere, don't mind if it is incomplete.

I'm looking for the lens mount from one to have a go at making into a Contax/Kiev to Sony E mount adaptor. If successful will post pics etc.

Happy to pay postage etc

I think I have several Kiev lens mounts in a spares box. Yet this box is in my parents' attic, not in my apartment. So if you can wait for a couple of weeks, you've got one (my parents live at 250 km from me, and the reverse).

It will come from the continental EU : let's hope your Prime Minister won't make that nasty Brexit thing real, because if he does, you'll have to be concerned with customs... :D

I much suppose that dralowid is planning to make a Contax to mirrorless adapter as seen here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154518&highlight=prewar
and I would love to try to make another, this time using a helicoid adapter, and don't want to take apart the one I already had made. In case you really have more mounts, could I have one? Sending would be to Austria and no hurry, I will be back there only around early summer myself.

...and as to the proposed departure from the EU, I am already suffering from media fatigue and we still have three months to go...
 
I am not too sure whether I have two or three Kiev mounts in that box. It might be three. So I'll check this next time I go and visit my parents. I have a Contax mount too, from a dead Contax III, but I prefer to keep that one as a spare (I have a working Contax II). I also have to make sure that the Kiev mounts are all complete with no missing parts.

Well guys, I have found the parts. So I have two Kiev helicals but unfortunately they are both missing their main release lever and their 50mm mount catch.

I may have used those parts to fix some Contax and Nikon bodies over time. The Kiev parts have been laying in my spares box for almost twenty years now.

At this point I don’t think my helicals are worth using, sorry.

And the Contax III helical isn't there any longer, contraringly to what I was thinking.
