Kodak BW400CN 36exp $1.95 per roll.

This will not last long at this price ... good seller who I have purchased from a couple of times!
I have sixty rolls of this in the freezer but I might have to get some more I think.

A new interest in MF has led me to look hard at prices for 120 film ... in particular Ilford HP5. Yuri at Fedka appears to be the cheapest I can find so far at $31.90 for ten rolls! Most of his film deals seem very reasonable in fact!

Hi Raid ... I remember that ... he has some great film deals in a lmited range. Makes you kind of wonder what he's paying for it?

just expired BW400CN-135-36 - how long will it remain good to use for?

The same eBayer currently has BW400CN-135-36 for sale at US$1.95 a roll. Very tempting even with shipping to OZ.
Has anyone tried this just (09 / 07) expired film - and if I freeze it how long can I expect to have usable film for?

I bought some a while ago that was a year past expiry and it was perfect ... hadn't been frozen either!
This stuff should be fine!

I got some of his stuff. While he is a great quick and efficient seller, and the stuff was exactly what he advertised, the shipping cost to Netherlands was ~40 bucks (40 rolls), and since he put "100$ insured" on the box (at least i guess that's why) i had to pay ~35(!!) euro import duty on it.
So in the end, the 09-07 dated 0.9 euro BW400 135-24 become more like e2,50 per roll.
Exactly same happened when i bought my film+chemicals stuff from Freestyle.
Lesson learned. Looks cheap but till it gets here, it gets to the normal price. I'll never buy film from official sellers out of the EU anymore.

Ouch! That's quite a price hike when all's said and done.
For the interest of any other potential Australian buyers of this film 25 rolls posted would work out to about A$3.64 a roll for 'just-expired/expiring' film. Personally I've only ever had horrible experiences with expired film in the past - but to be fair I've only used expired film that's probably just sat in my cupboard for a couple of years after I forgot about it - so I can't blame anyone other than myself for those disappointments.
As a matter of interest, BW400CN/36 from other sellers on Ebay, retail for about A$7.60 a roll - delivered. Retail from the shop the same film is about A$8.00 - $10.00.
Also, I've noticed that buying more film doesn't necessarily make for a cheaper deal. For example, buying 20 rolls of in date BW400CN instead of 5 from another retailer saves a whopping extra 10cents a roll!
Anyway the general opinion about the retailer Photogfl and the usability of this type of 'expired' film seems good (and I feel a little cheap calculating the costs like this given that one could simply buy 5 rolls and really not be out anything much at all). But if the film is still good to use (even with the postage costs to Australia), then it's a great deal saving 6 - 7 dollars a roll. I guess one just needs to develop promptly! At any rate this film is certainly cheap enough to make me want to buy it rather than simply going with my normal retailer. Geeze, after all that thinking for 25 rolls, I think I need a coffee!

Where (on the web) do the Europeans around here get their film? Would like to avoid import taxes and x-ray scanning...

Although limited in the variety what he can offer, Robert at Fotohuis RoVo is an excellent manager to deal with and the prices are okay too. Helpful and fast with e-mail answers. He can be found on photo.net under his own name i think (robert vonk) and knows some of the trad. BW tricks.

If anyone would like to swap me some conventional black and white in either format 35mm or 120 ... for a heap of BW400cn in 35mm check the classifieds WTT. I bought fifty rolls of this thinking I would use it ... but I won't as I now have the developing bug and have no wish to see it still in my freezer a year from now!

Firstcall Photographic sells Profilm Tri-X, which claims to be rebranded Kodak Tri-X. You can find it on their website. It's very cheap, compared to Tri-X.
Oh, and I'm looking for Spectra/ Image polaroid film (1200 and 900) and cheap/expired B&W film 400ISO and above in 35mm. Bulk film is fine.
I would like to trade/sell:
35mm C41 (all 36 exposures unless otherwise indicated):
400 Fuji Superia 4/08
400UC Professional Kodak
100 Profoto Kodak 12/01 x 2 (one with a trimmed film leader)
200 Kodak Gold
NPC160 Professional Portrait Fuji
400 Konica Minolta 27 exposures
120 E6:
100F Astia Fujifilm 12/05 x 2
400D RHP Fujichrome (this expired in the 90's I think)
120 B&W:
100 TMX Kodak x 2
125 FP4+ Ilford 5/97 x 6 (You might want to test one of these first to see if it still works)
Plenty of Delta 400
