Gabriel: Thanks. It was a heavy load on my shoulders to know that they were living "just around the corner" of some professional killers with no good ending in sight. No I am worrying about my sister and her husband and children and my wife's family. One step at a time .... until all Iraqis have left Iraq!

The politics of the war make it very unlikely that my family will get entry visas to the USA. I educate thousands of Americans and I am a US citizen, but no politician I know would actually pull the right strings for my family. If the USA would admit comitting war crimes against the Iraqi people, there would be a mass immigration from Iraq to the USA ... and then what? Who would build that "ideal democracy"? :bang:

There is still hope Raid... Of course Iraq will take a few years until it is under its own security... but I think especially after this recent election many are looking to see a change in the proper direction.
And immigration laws are incredibly frustrating right now; for instance my brother would love to bring his girlfriend from Denmark to the US so they can marry... however between the Danish emigration laws (the spouse whom she is marrying must have at least 30,000 USD in the bank to prove the ability to support her, why? A Danish emigrant cannot receive permission for a work visa until after 365 days inside the US... despite marraige) and US immigration laws avoid infringing upon European emigration laws. Believe me we are looking for loop holes.
Any Danish fellows on this forum who would like to correct me or have further information are welcome to PM me (as I do not want to distract from Raid's family).
Of course that is not a matter of life or death... Raid I hope the rest of your family can find peace in another region until Iraq is under control.
