California (Bay Area, Northern) December Get Together

Sad I am going to miss this-this group cracks me up. I hit the trifecta yesterday: as I pulled up in the driveway from the post office to pick up Subhash's mint (and I mean it) M2, the USPS guy and the FedEx guy showed up at my door at the same time with packages. And what's in those packages? One contains my hot rod 0.58 M6TTL from DAG-land, and the other...well, I dare not say. But I wll soon.

And yes, I still use these gems: lots of slides to review as I am working towards a new show or two in 2012.

Bob, Bob, Bob! We're going to miss you! You were supposed to be the designated "beauty queen" owner that makes us all ooooh and aaaah. I'm looking forward to seeing your new toys at our next get together then.

Isn't it fun when the delivery guy comes! I'm waiting on a little, and I mean little, purchase myself today. A VC 50/2.5 ltm. Should make for a nice pocketable kick around fun lens!

Happy riding and shooting my friend!

Yes, it's true: unlike 99% of the RFF community, I demand cosmetic excellence in my camera equipment, because I look at the equipment before I see the image and more often afterwards.

Yes, the C/V 50mm f2.5 is a great kick around lens: it is so good that I brilliantly sold mine to Jamie a year ago, and I have only recently kicked myself about that. And you can kick me for selling it when you next see me. I hope you get some kicks with it!

I often have lunch @ Cafe Museo, & 12:30 ain't a great time for getting tables, especially for more than 4. All or at least some should get there just before 12, to have enough space for everyone.

Kirk- I'll be there early, no worries. If worse comes to worse we can pop over to one of the little restaurants nearby. Looking forward to catching up!

Bob- You know I have, and have had, my fair share of beauty queens too. It's part of the fun!

Not to worry, Kirk. Once Mike and Kent show up most of the nearby patrons will quickly vacate in disgust.

well if you guys decide on something between the 21st and 23rd I might be up for it.
