DECEMBER: What LIGHT like in Vietnam/Thailand?

I will be traveling through Vietnam/Thailand from December 18th through January 18th. What is the weather like normally during this time?

Mostly Sunshine? Partly Cloudy? I dont care about temperatures, just need daylight info.

I will be bringing a 120 with color film with me, however if it is mostly sunny I will be re-thinking my choice of camera/film.

I dont shoot color film in openly sunny days. It just doesnt work for me. Anyone with knowledge of the area during this time of the year would be a great help.

Mostly dry during that time period with quite a lot of sunshine, on the whole, depending on which parts of each country you will be visiting. Other's may be able to give you more detailed info.

In Saigon and most of the southern provinces, sunny in the day, some rain in the afternoon/evening. And the sun here is brutal, you easily get EV16 most of the time. Hanoi is cool/cold, depends on your cold tolerance, but the wind chill in December can be very discomforting. No idea about the middle part.

Thailand is pretty much always bright and sunny during those months.

In the South of Vietnam Dec/Jan are the 'coolest' months of the year...still at 30C though. Bright sunlight all the time. Best time to shoot is very early morning at around 6AM and between 5 and 6pm...since you're on the equator, sundown takes about 10 minutes...

mate even if it is the wet season, in places the rain does not last long and the air after is crystal clear.In the hot season I cannot see the mountains across the Cau Hai lake in the wet it is a absolutely magnificent vista. so the light will vary, but after rain ,wonderful.
