As the great photographer, Elvis Presley, once said:
“A little less street cred, a little more action, please
All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark”
In other words, less talk, more pictures! Baby!
Just havin' fun,
Mike
Wait.....the lens designer specifies a hood shape that will best optimize the results with the lens in question, but if you make the effort to get the correct hood you’re a “poser”, but if you don’t care, and stick any dang thing on there, you’re.......a better person, somehow? Weird.
Anyone who equates 'street cred' with 'Elvis' today is about 50 years behind the curve.
Well, I'm trying to solve the mystery of «street credibility» in a light-hearted manner 🙂
Indeed, not.Or not.
Photographic street cred is using a $10,000 Leica digital camera and $8,000 Leica lens, both of which have been purposely scratched and dented and covered in gaffer tape, to take poorly focused and framed B&W photos of average-looking people walking by on the sidewalk. Without a lens hood.

Street cred: When you have it, you'll know.
