I didn't miss it.

A lot of people that could have helped this new member out apparently missed this thread; too busy arguing.

Fortunately, one of the "old Guard" that ownes an M6 wrote up detailed instructions and others with similar experience jumped in.

Francisco's Post should be a "sticky" on how to load an M series camera.

I wonder what kind of impression that "we old Guard", ie anyone with more than 500 posts, are making on prospective RF enthusiasts.

I think it would be "What a bunch of Cantankerous OLD men, I want to stay away from that anachronistic form of Photography".

At first I was miffed I had missed it. Put in that light, trips to the emergency room may sometimes have an up side after all. :D :D

Oh, yes, thanks for asking. Actually it was my wife. Kaiser Permanente & Co has created a situation my wife is quite uncomfortable with in going for treatment there. So, we went to the local US Army emergency room for a cronic problem she has, as she was in a lot of pain. Over seven hours there. But, we found doctors that listened to her and me. Made efforts to determine what her problem was, conducted tests there, and explained what her problem was in ways she could understand, then prescribed a treatment with medications that should work.

Now that was a long wait, but the upstart was we got more than the 15 minutes Kaiser promises, and think we may be on the road to some treatment that will help. Her condition is cronic and so far has no known cure. Only help in coping with the pain. But side effects of treatment sometimes cause problems too. That seems to have happened and they seem to have noted that and given treatment for it. Actually, we are rather pleased. We are thinking seriously of changing our primary care provider.

And, I missed the emperor with no clothes. Seven hours well spent on both counts!! :D
 
Wow, that was sure one fun couple of hours watching all of you at eachother's throats.
I won't deny my involvement, however.
 
I noticed Brian being the voice of reason shortly after I ran to help Chancellor with his misload problems. Guys & girls, the essence of this forum is gear and photo talk. Jorge's measures are always optional, and his latest decision only proves that democracy is highly overrated.

I will get the little MP below my name sometime later, but I must add that I have absolutely NO qualms with a membership choice. It doesn't create a two-tier membership or a class of "haves" and "have-nots", but actually gives us a choice to load up more pics in the gallery, and get a lot more PMs instead.

Now... I'm repeating part of the discussion last night (which I only read), so I'm wrapping up my post here.

BTW, Jorge, well done! And thanks for never giving up on us! :) We're at times cantakerous, truly, but we also appreciate what you do by keeping this site alive.

I'm assuming that the question posed in the second last line is rhetorical.. right? Because if it isn't I'm not answering that's for certain.
